a personal story
Dear Families,
I want to share a story that’s very close to my heart—the story of how The Learning Hive came to be, and how it has grown into something I truly believe is part of God’s plan for our lives.
For years, I worked as a public school teacher, pouring my heart into the classroom and doing my best to serve the students entrusted to me. But in 2019, during a mission trip, God whispered something new into my spirit: He was calling me out of the classroom, but not out of teaching. At the time, I didn’t know what that meant. I returned home and continued teaching, trusting that in time, God would reveal the full picture.
Eventually, I enrolled my own son in public school. That’s when everything became clear. While he is bright and full of potential, I watched as the traditional system tried to mold him into something he wasn’t. He began to lose his joy for learning. His creativity, curiosity, and gifts were being boxed in, and I could see that he wasn’t thriving. As a mother and an educator, it was painful to witness—but also the confirmation I needed. God said, “It’s Time! Take the Leap Now!”
I leaned into His calling and made the decision to homeschool. What I found in that season was something so precious—faith, freedom, and family all under one roof. I could create a learning environment that reflected our values and allowed my son to grow into who God created him to be. It was beautiful and life-giving.
But the story didn’t stop there. As we settled into homeschooling, I began connecting with other families who were craving the same thing: community, Christ-centered education, and support. I realized there were many parents, just like me, searching for something more. And so, The Learning Hive was born—not just for my son, but for every family looking to blend faith, flexibility, and meaningful learning.
Today, The Learning Hive is a place where children are seen, known, and encouraged to thrive in their God-given strengths. It’s a place where families feel equipped, empowered, and surrounded by others who are walking the same path. I believe this dream was planted by God long before I fully understood it, and I am so grateful to now share it with you.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see where God leads us next as we raise a generation who loves learning, loves others, and loves Him.
With faith and gratitude,

Our Purpose
At The Learning Hive Foundation, we believe education should be meaningful, mission-driven, and rooted in truth. We exist to equip a new generation of students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially—grounded in a biblical worldview and inspired to serve. As an extension of our Christ-centered learning community in Miami Lakes, our foundation empowers students to explore their God-given identity while engaging the world around them with compassion and courage.
Through initiatives like Office of the Citizen, we guide youth in becoming civic-minded leaders who understand their role as Citizens of Heaven and Earth. Anchored in our core values—Faith, Family, and Freedom—we blend purpose-filled learning with hands-on service, volunteerism, and leadership development. Whether families are just beginning their homeschool journey or transitioning from traditional systems, The Learning Hive Foundation exists to offer the support, structure, and spiritual encouragement they need to thrive.
